2019 Saints Offense Projected Stats for Key Personnel

2019 Saints Offensive Unit Projected Stats

The trio of Drew Brees, Alvin Kamara, and Michael Thomas prepare to be introduced.

The New Orleans Saints 2019 regular season is only six days away. Today, we predict the projected statistics for the following personnel. Drew Brees, Michael Thomas, Alvin Kamara, and Jared Cook are expected to put up big numbers this season with the “Black and Gold.” Based on the caliber of opponents that the team will face this season, Saints Discussions predicts the following numbers for these four individuals. We start things off with starting quarterback Drew Brees.

Drew Brees

Last Season Stats

3,992 Passing Yards, 32 Touchdown Passes, 79.2 QBR, and 74.4% Completion Rate.

There are about a dozen stories in regards to Drew Brees being on the decline when last season ended. With the numbers listed above, they would be considered MVP stats for any other quarterback. A banged-up o-line, along with not having a second option opposite of Michael Thomas led to the drop off we saw from Brees late in 2018. With the addition of Jared Cook in the passing game and a healthy o-line, Drew will have another stellar season in New Orleans.

Projected 2019 Stats for Drew Brees: 4,279 Yards, 31 Touchdown Passes, 83.2 QBR, and 76.7% completion rate.

Michael Thomas

Last Season Stats

1,425 Receiving Yards, 125 Receptions, and 9 Touchdown Scores.

2018 was a breakout season for wide receiver Michael Thomas. He put the entire league on notice in regards to being recognized as a top-five wideout in the NFL. Expect those same type of numbers in 2019 from Thomas this season. There has been no difference in his work ethic due to him having a new contract going into this season.

Projected 2019 Stats for Michael Thomas: 1,411 Receiving Yards, 110 Receptions, and 11 Touchdown Scores.

Alvin Kamara

Last Season Stats

884 Rushing Yards, 194 Rushing Attempts, and 14 Touchdown Scores.

Receiving: 709 Receiving Yards, 81 Receptions, and 4 Touchdown Scores.

Saints running back Alvin Kamara is what teams are now looking for when it comes to selecting running backs in the draft. He is the number one reason why defensive coordinators are up at night wondering how to prepare for his explosiveness. You can expect another big year for Kamara as he continues to become one of the league’s premier weapons on offense.

Projected 2019 Stats for Alvin Kamara

1,087 Rushing Yards, 198 Rushing Attempts, and 11 Touchdown Scores

Receiving: 727 Receiving Yards, 74 Receptions, and 6 Touchdown Scores

Jared Cook

Last Season Stats.

896 Receiving Yards, 68 Receptions, and 6 Touchdown Scores.

Finally, the Saints will have an upgrade at the tight ends position this season. All-pro Jared Cook will be an additional option for the passing game in 2019. Do not expect Jimmy Graham like numbers from Cook in 2019. However, his contributions to this team will pay huge dividends for going forward. These are your 2019 Saints offense projected stats for key personnel going into this year.

Projected 2019 Stats for Jared Cook: 868 Receiving Yards, 73 Receptions, and 8 Touchdown Scores.
