Tomorrow’s contest against the Minnesota Vikings is just a preseason game, plain and simple. However, for backup quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, there will be more at stake. Bridgewater is competing to become the heir apparent to future Hall of Fame quarterback Drew Brees.
Also, Bridgewater will be performing against the team that drafted him in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft. Teddy must keep the emotions in check and focus on the task that is put in front of him. After witnessing the dismal performance in Week 17 against the Panthers, Saints fans will have a better observation of what Teddy Bridgewater can do in Sean Payton’s offense.
