No one knows when the New Orleans Saints will hire a new offensive coordinator. So far, they have interview assistants such as Brian Griese, Klint Kubiak, Jerrod Johnson, Ronald Curry, Dan Pitcher, and Mike Sullivan. On Friday, it was reported by The Athletic’s NFL Insider Dianna Russini that former Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Brian Johnson will interview for the open position on Monday.

Johnson recently conducted interviews for open OC positions on teams such as the Cleveland Browns and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. During his tenure with Philadelphia, Johnson served as the Eagles quarterback coach during their Super Bowl run in 2022.

He was promoted to offensive coordinator when Shane Steichen was hired to become the head coach of the Indianapolis Colts. Based on how the season transpired for the Eagles, Johnson was fired after one season of serving as the team’s offensive coordinator. Despite the Eagles’ regression, their offense was ranked seventh in total yards, ninth in points per game, and seventh in rushing.
