Buccaneers versus Saints Week 5 Preview and Prediction
Saints Discussions breaks down and predicts tomorrow’s big matchup between the New Orleans Saints and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I explain what the Saints defense should be on the lookout for and if Teddy Bridgewater will be able to put up some points against the Bucs defense. Tomorrow’s game will also feature the anticipated showdown between all-pro wide receiver Mike Evans taking on the 2017 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year Marshon Lattimore.
Lattimore will be seeking to continue his spectacular performances from the previous weeks when he faces Mike Evans tomorrow afternoon. In regards to the rest of the Saints defense, they must force Bucs quarterback Jameis Winston to be uncomfortable in the pocket for the entire ball game.
Throughout his time in Tampa, Jameis Winston is known for being a quarterback that lacks consistency weekly. However, under the guidance of new head coach Bruce Arians, Winston is showing traits of becoming a competent NFL quarterback. But he has not faced a defense that is playing on the level of what the Saints are playing right now.
As always, there must be a collective effort for the Saints to win this football game. Personnel along the offensive line must not cause penalities that will not allow this team to score points against their opponents tomorrow. So far, their defense has been doing more than enough to mask those deficiencies that occur on the offense.
However, there’s going to be a time this season when the defense is not getting it done, and it will be on the offense to play mistake-free for the Saints to come out victorious. Overall, Saints Discussions believes that the team will be able to score points on the Buccaneers defense tomorrow afternoon. This is your Buccaneers versus Saints Week 5 preview.
