We are near the end of January, and the New Orleans Saints are still interviewing candidates to fill their vacant offensive coordinator position. The latest prospect that has been reported is Baltimore Ravens wide receiver coach Greg Lewis. NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero first reported the transaction. Lewis was a part of Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid’s coaching staff from 2017 through 2021. The year prior, he was the Philadelphia Eagles receivers coach.
Lewis had stops with teams such as the Patriots, Eagles, and the Vikings as a player. Under the guidance of Lewis, Ravens wideout Zay Flowers emerged as one of the league’s top rookies for the 2023 campaign. He finished the year with 77 catches for 858 yards and five touchdowns. Since New Orleans announced that they were moving on from longtime assistant Pete Carmichael, the Saints have interviewed ten candidates for its vacant offensive coordinator job. Among the names interviewed were Zac Robinson, Dan Pitcher, Ronald Curry, Shane Waldon, Jerrod Johnson, and recently Brian Johnson.
